‘My child has just turned 14. For the last few weeks I have been worried about her as she is constantly on Instagram and TikTok. I have seen her looking at posts about losing weight and dieting. She keeps talking about her own weight and size and is so worried that she is fat. She misses meals even when I ask her to come to the dinner table and she will sit on her phone in her room instead. I have seen the accounts she follows on social media and there are lots of influencers who promote unrealistic bodies, weight loss products or exercise programmes. What can I do?’
